Babies crying in slings

Some thoughts on when babies cry at the library or in a consultation (or just in slings!).

Look, babies cry, it happens (as much as we'd all prefer it if it didn't, it took me years to lose the strong hormone response to a baby's cry!), and we won't get cross or impatient if your baby needs you (or you need to see to your baby), so absolutely do what you need to do!
It's not unusual for babies to get a bit shouty when they first go in a sling, you're a bit stressed and babies also often don't like being moved about. We'll generally tell you to go have a bit of a pace about and that usually settles the little one down, if you're at home the garden can work magic too (or the bathroom!).
If you're concerned within the library session or outside of it just tell us, we're here for you.
